"We set the quality of military education."

Armenia does not take part in arms racing in the South Caucasus, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan told in Yerevan Thursday during the Rose-Rotte seminar of the NATO parliamentary assembly.

He said the Armenian supreme and military command is concerned with the arms racing policy conducted in the region. "The quantitative superiority is not necessarily a qualitative superiority. We set the quality of military education, strengthening of combat readiness and strong combat spirit against the quantitative superiority", Ohanyan said.

He added that the armament process in the region must be controlled and international structures should not allow arms racing.
