Huseyn Bagirov
Today Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Huseyn Bagirov, received the delegation headed by South Korean Minister on Ground, Transport and Maritime Affairs Chon Hwan Chun.
According to the report of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, during the meeting they discussed issues of cooperation in the field of environmental protection.
In general, in order to improve environmental management in the country, there is a plan for the phased implementation of projects for several years in cooperation with specialists from Korea.
Korea and Azerbaijan have already been cooperating in the framework of the Master Plan for environmental management in Azerbaijan.
The project has identified the priority areas, in particular, "Reuse of treated wastewater for irrigation", “Construction of solid waste landfill in Gobustan ", “Creation of the automated monitoring of environment”. Korea will present the latest technologies thus taking part in the implementation of these projects.
