Armenian President to visit Romania

Armenia’s Ambassador to Romania Yeghishe Sargsyan had a meeting with the President of Romania Traian Basescu over completing his diplomatic mission.

During the meeting the President signified the relations between Armenia and Romania and expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for his activity targeted at the development of bilateral ties and expansion of cooperation, MFA reported.

The interlocutors expressed confidence that President Serzh Sargsyan’s scheduled visit to Romania would greatly contribute to the further development of the Armenian-Romanian cooperation.

At the request of President Basescu, Ambassador Sargsyan presented the latest developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement process and the efforts targeted at the reconciliation of the Armenian-Turkish ties.

The outgoing Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Romanian authorities for the support and cooperation throughout his tenure in office.
