OSCE is ready to return to Georgia

All the topics will be discussed at the PA OSCE sitting in Oslo.

Joao Soares, the head of the Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE, arrived in Georgia and discussed issues of settling Abkhaz and South Osssetian conflicts, and possibility of OSCE mission return to the country, with government officials.

Soares added that return of refugees to Abkhazia and South Ossetia was also discussed.

He mentioned all the topics will be discussed at the PA OSCE sitting in Oslo. He highlighted the OSCE canpaigns for return of its mission to Georgia - ITAR TASS.

This mission officially left Georgia on June 30th 2009; the mandate expired on Janury 1st 2009. At the sitting of the Permanent Council on December 22nd 2008 the sides failed to reach consensus, and the mission was shifted to curtailment regime.

OSCE mission monitored situation in the area of Georgian-South Ossetian conflict from 1992 to 2009. They also implemented programs in the spheres of security, politics, and environment protection in the scale of all Georgia.
