Rauf Mammadov ranks 13 in European chess championship

The European chess championship involving 15 Azerbaijani representatives continues in Rieka (Croatia).

According to News.Az, Rauf Mammadov showed the best result among our chess players. In the fourth round he beat Spanish Josep Manuel Lopez Martinez. Mammadov has 3.5 points. He takes 13th place lagging behind the leaders-Georgian Baadur Jobava and Ukranian Zahar Efimenko by 0.5 points.

The best result among Azerbaijani women chess players was shown by Turkan Mammadyarova with 2.5 points. She held a draw with Polish Joanna Majdan in the reporting round. Mammadyarova is ranking 55th. Another Polish representative Monika Socko is leading with 4 points.
