Iran parliament speaker Ali Larijani slammed comments of the US commander David Petraeus calling him confused US commander in Middle East adding US is the thug government.

Speaking in parliament general session on Tuseday, Iran parliament speaker referred to General David Petraeus insulting Iranian government as a 'thugocracy' and said 'even though they (the US) are ware of regional hatred toward them , they (the US) use such insulting words.'

He added 'unlike US conspiracies in Iraq election, the brave Iraqi nation gave them strong answer.'

Larijani scorned US over crimes in killing Iraqi, Afghan, and Palestinians calling it a thug administration 'the US hostile catastrophes in Guantanamo and Abu gharib indicates US thugocracy.'

Larijani stressed that Iranian nation continues to fight arrogant powers.

He said it was quite evident that the Americans were trying to comfort themselves through using of such malicious remarks in face of the general hatred targetting them by the nations of the region.

He said despite the whole body of plots hatched by the Americans and their extreme interference in Iraqi election, the brave nation of Iraq, too, inflicted a big blow on the US by their votes.

Larijani said he believed that after the latest developments in Iraq the US is quite justified to term the country’s election as a political shock but he said the Americans’ problem could not be solved by use of ugly words because the public hatred towards them was rapidly growing.

He stressed that the US administration and officials were in fact suffering from political isolation among regional states so they are trying to soothe their wounds by indulging in nasty behaviors.
