Azerbaijani chess players to start participation in European championship

The European championship in chess to involve the Azerbaijani representatives will start in Rieke (Croatia).

According to News.Az, the male championship will involve eight of our grandmasters Vasif Durarbeyli (2476), Vugar Rasulov (2457), Rauf Mammadov (2639), Ulvi Bajarani (2395), Nijat Mammadov (2623), Gadir Huseynov (2609), Eltaj Safarli (2606) and Namik Guliyev (2516).

In the female contest Azerbaijan is represented by Zeynab Mammadyarova (2289), Turkan Mammadyarova (2269), Khayala Iskenderova (2224), Narmin Kazimova (2212), Nargiz Umudova (2211), Khayala Abdulla (2141) and Gulnar Mammadov (2299).

The championship to consist of 11 rounds will end on March 17.
