An agreement to fight dissemination of piracy materials in sphere of information technologies was concluded between USAID and Microsoft-Azerbaijan.
'We are glad to implement this project with Microsoft', spokesman for USAID in Azerbaijan Shiela Young told a news conference.
At the briefing held due to the signing of the said agreement it was noted that the studies revealed the piracy rate to be at the level of 90% in ICT sector in Azerbaijan, which is a high indicator in the world.
"This affects the ICT sector in Azerbaijan, therefore, we consider that our cooperation with Microsoft-Azerbaijan will promote reduction of these negative indicators", Young said.
In turn, head of Microsoft-Azerbaijan Teymur Akhundov also voiced satisfaction with the signed agreement.
