"Azerbaijani basketball team has rejected participation in the European championship in Yerevan.
"Azerbaijani basketball team has rejected participation in the European championship of C division among women", said president of the Armenian Basketball Federation Grachya Rostomyan.
The information about the rejection to participate was provided to the Armenian Federation by FIBA-Europe (European Basketball Association).
The championship will be held in Yerevan on Jun 28-July 3. Group A will involve the teams from Armenia, Andorra, Moldova and Gibraltar, Group B will involve Wales, Scotland and Malta. The fourth team was the Azerbaijani team, according to a drawing. Thus, Group B will involve 3 national teams.
