Mikheil Saakashvili

Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili has again declared to Commersant that he is not going to lead Georgia after 2013.

Meanwhile he noted that Georgia's course will continue after 2013.

"Who has told them that the current Georgian leadership will exist only until 2013? Yet, I will not run for presidency any more. But it does not mean that the ideology that I represent will cease to be a priority for the Georgian population. Even if there is no Saakashvili, there will be someone else. The course will be the same. Second, you should understand that the personality can be important but the ideology has already been formed.

This generation already exists and nothing can change this. We have had meetings and demonstrations but the popularity of my course have never been supported by less than 50% population. Now 70% and more supports me. This country is clearly consolidated. Our course to liberal economic, democracy, free and open society will further consolidate",  Mikhail Saakashvili said.
